New Jersey REALIZE Band Surgery

In September 2007 the FDA approved for marketing the New Jersey Realize Adjustable Gastric Band for use in the United States and New Jersey. Made by Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Inc., the New Jersey Realize Band has been commercially available outside the U.S. since 1996 and has been used by more than 100,000 patients worldwide to help manage their weight.

The NJ Realize Band is a surgical implant that wraps around the stomach to limit food intake.
