It is essential as part of the pre-operative assessment process, that all patients undergo a Bariatric Psychological Evaluation. Many candidates have been treated for or are currently being treated for psychiatric disorders. For the most part, such treatment does not disqualify you from New Jersey Gastric Bypass Surgery and New Jersey Lap Band Surgery. It is recommended that you choose a Psychiatrist who specializes in Bariatric Psychological Evaluations, however if you are currently being treated for psychiatric disorders, you may want to complete the psychological evaluation with your current provider.
